There will be a special event this year, a movie featuring several MCHS graduates and teachers, talking about what they have accomplished post-high school. It includes one who is the president of the French Psychology Association, an opera singer, a Broadway dancer, and one who works for the Disney organization. The film was made by Mariposa resident Bill Lowe, who has produced several other films about Mariposa, and has been putting on the annual Butterfly Festival. The film will be shown in the school auditorium. Show times will be 1:30 and 3:30. There will be a $10 admission fee, with proceeds going to the Rotary Club scholarship program.

Centennial Celebration 2014

MCHS observed 100 years of service to the youth of Mariposa County in 2014. The official celebration took place on October 24 and 25, and included the Parade of the Decades and a Grizzlies football game at the fairgrounds on Friday, an open house at the school on Saturday, and a dinner dance at the fairgrounds Saturday night. Read Tom Phillips early history of the school here.

On March 26, the Matuca Chapter of E Clampus Vitus dedicated a plaque at the school in honor of the centennial (read about it here). Photos from the dedication can be found here on our gallery page.
